Dr. Lisa DeGregorio (she/her)
As an autistic psychologist, my work is grounded in both lived experience and clinical expertise. I am deeply committed to neuroaffirming practice, informed by my advocacy with the Autistic Self Advocacy Network of Australia and New Zealand (ASAN-AUNZ) and my clinical work with autistic individuals and families. I have a particular passion for high-quality autism assessment and identification, because when done thoughtfully and respectfully, the assessment process itself can be therapeutim by offering people clarity, validation, and a framework for understanding their neurotype.

My practice integrates lived experience as an autistic psychologist with rigorous clinical and research training. I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology and bring a strong methodological and research background to my work, alongside extensive involvement in autistic advocacy through the Autistic Self Advocacy Network of Australia and New Zealand (ASAN-AUNZ). I take an eclectic, neuroaffirming therapeutic approach that draws on multiple evidence-based models while remaining responsive to each person’s individual neurotype, context, and goals. I have a particular passion for autism assessment and report writing, as I believe high-quality identification processes can themselves be therapeutic—offering clarity, validation, and a meaningful framework for self-understanding. My work is grounded in both clinical expertise and strong connections with the autistic community, ensuring that assessment and support remain respectful, collaborative, and genuinely neuroaffirming.
