terms of membership
The criteria for LOAPAC membership are:
Membership fee paid.
Adhere to the LOAPAC Code of Ethics.
Only use the logo you are accredited to use.
Commit to be working towards LOAPAC accreditation/waiting for LOAPAC accreditation if eligible for accreditation.
How will eligibility be assessed?
Eligibility for membership will be in the form of online assessment.

At present, this online questionnaire is the most efficient and standardised way to gather the necessary information. I am aware, however, that it might not be the most accessible way for all.
Please contact membership@loapac.org if the questionnaire is a mismatch of “information exchange style” for you. Perhaps you might submit a case study, links to your professional website or your professional social media accounts. You might submit a publication or blog that you authored. These alternate methods of accreditation must still demonstrate proficiency in the same areas covered by the online assessment. You are welcome to contact the Director with further suggestions for assessing eligibility for accreditation and ensuring LOAPAC’s standards are rigorous and reliable.
There is no value to the directory if members are accredited without due process.
It's important that LOAPAC members uphold high standards for themselves while also being mindful of how they communicate these tenets to others. A supportive and respectful approach rather than a militant one will do much to advance our standing in the wider community. However, it is crucial to address situations where there is potential harm being done. Striking a balance between educating others and showing understanding of their perspective is crucial.
LOAPAC logo abuse
Here at LOAPAC we take the abuse of our logo very seriously. It will lose all meaning if it is used by anyone not fully accredited to do so.
Anyone using the logo dishonourably claiming to be a member or an accredited member will be fully investigated and legal action will be taken if appropriate.
If you suspect someone is using the logo fraudulently you can always search for them on the RAP. If you do not find their entry, please get in touch. Your details will be kept confidential.
Client feedback
LOAPAC psychologists are encouraged to seek client feedback for their own professional development.
Breach of the LOAPAC Code of Ethics
Should a member be found to have breached the Code of Ethics, their name will be removed from the RAP until an agreed on arrangement is made to support the member to uphold the Code.
