Everything you need to know about attending

NACTA & LOAPAC Expo ‘26

Getting There:

  • The event is being held at Hyatt Place, Essendon Fields.

  • This is an (approximately) 7 minute drive from Melbourne Airport and would cost approximately $25.00 with Uber.

  • If you are staying at Hyatt Place, they provide a free shuttle bus from Melbourne Airport.

  • This is an (approximately) 30 minute drive and would cost approximately $50.00 from Flinders Street Station (CBD) by Uber.

  • There is plenty of parking on-site ($6.00 a day).

The venue:

  • Entrance from the road.

  • Entrance from the car park.

  • We will be sitting at these banquet tables. There are also bean bags (plenty of room that is not shown in the photo).

This is the entrance lobby that leads into all the spaces. The registration table will be in here. The sensory support spaces are through the glass doors at the end.

Social interaction indicators

Your gift bag will be waiting for you at the registration desk. Inside will be three rubber wristbands. These are colour coded to indicate whether you are up for social interaction or not.

  • Green means you are available to chat and are comfortable with being approached.

  • Orange means you need to conserve spoons by interacting only with people you know or have initiated contact with.

  • Red means that spoons are depleted (perhaps mainly social spoons and you still have some left for learning

    People will change the colour of their wristband throughout the event according to fluctuating capacity. Please double check before approaching others.

  • Our photographer will do their best to ask before taking photos of you or in your direction. You are welcome to let them know if you don’t want to be in photos or videos.

  • Everyone attending should show this courtesy before taking any photos or videos.

  • Please remember to ask before hugging or shaking hands.

Logging in to the event website

This is available for ALL attendees, not just virtual attendees. (In-person attendees who need a break can continue watching from outside the auditorium.)

There are intro videos to meet the creators, free downloadable resources, and resources to buy.

Virtual Expo is a values-based, accessible platform for both creators and vendors.
