I am a neuroaffirming queer BIPOC AuDHD+ psychologist with lived experience of an eating disorder and CPTSD. I have a special interest in working with similar clients experiencing complex, intersecting, multiple difficulties. This includes eating disorders, eating issues (including ARFID), body image concerns, CPTSD and attachment/ relational trauma, difficulties related to late-identification of neurodivergence (specifically AuDHD), chronic health issues (h-EDS, MCAS, POTS, endometriosis, adenomyosis, sexual and pelvic pain etc). I enjoy working with First Nations clients and other BIPOC / CALD populations, LGBTQIA+ clients, supporting clients through transitioning and gender related issues, and neurodivergent clients going through difficult life transitions i.e., pregnancy, parenting, leaving high school, transitioning from study to work, stepping back from work due to chronic health issues etc.
I use a very eclectic approach though prefer SSCM, FPT, and Schema therapy for eating disorders rather than CBT-E. Generally I am very attachment and relationally focused though do draw from and integrate Schema, psychodynamic, acceptance and mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy, parts-work models (IFS), EFT, and CBT, DBT, ACT where appropriate.
